How Students Benefit

MTP-M/S Provides

Multi-sensory, teacher-guided explorations of everyday surroundings.

How Students Benefit

Mathematics and Science concepts are directly linked to children's daily experiences, as the curricular activities change with the seasons. Teacher guidance ensures that inquiries are purposeful and effective.

MTP-M/S Provides

Emphasis on student inquiry, development of Mathematics and Science knowledge and skills along with their thinking and language development, Explorations anchored in an excellent collection of children's literature in Mathematics and Science.

How Students Benefit

Children develop Mathematics and Science knowledge and skills through an active inquiry process: They ask questions, make predictions, conduct observations, employ key mathematics and science skills, collect and analyze evidence, draw conclusions, and communicate their findings. Literacy skills are enhanced as children's texts help provide context for later inquiries and help build conceptual understandings. Children's language develops as they use the "lingo" - key Mathematics and Science vocabulary - throughout the learning process.

MTP-M/S Provides

Creative extensions of Mathematics and Science learning throughout the day.

How Students Benefit

Each activity offers children multiple extension opportunities to employ their emerging skills, and to cement their understandings, across varying activities (e.g. snack time, recess) throughout the day.
